Why This Cross Exists
Second Generation Genetics built Bandaid 13 on two proven pillars: the sativa-dominant Bandaid Haze line rooted in Cuban Black Haze genetics, and DJ Short's F4 Blueberry, one of the most stable and respected Blueberry expressions in the archive. The goal was straightforward. Take the creative, uplifting backbone of Bandaid Haze and marry it to the fruity, medicinal density of Blueberry genetics. Not a novelty cross. Not a marketing play. A deliberate pairing designed to preserve and advance both lineages at once.
What Each Parent Brings
Trinity Lavender carries the sativa-dominant architecture and cerebral profile of the Bandaid Haze line. You get the structure, the vigor, and the effect profile that made Bandaid Haze worth breeding with in the first place. The Blueberry contribution comes from DJ Short's F4, which means you are not getting random Blueberry genetics. You are getting a fourth-generation stabilized expression of one of the most important cultivars in modern cannabis breeding. That F4 designation matters. It means the fruity aromatics, the resin production, and the growth pattern are locked in.
Trait Distribution
Expect the Bandaid Haze side to show up in plant structure, internode spacing, and the uplifting, creative effect profile. The Blueberry F4 will express through resin density, fruity aromatics, and a more compact branching pattern in some phenotypes. This is not a 50/50 split. Phenotypes will lean one direction or the other, and that variation is the point. You run enough plants, you find the expression that works for your garden and your goals.
The Phenotypes
Bandaid 13 will throw variation. Some plants will run taller and more sativa-forward, with longer internodes and a more open structure. Others will show Blueberry density and a bushier profile. Neither is wrong. The taller phenos tend to hold the Bandaid Haze effect profile more clearly. The denser phenos often express stronger fruity aromatics and heavier resin production. Run at least three to five plants if you want to find a keeper worth keeping. Do not expect uniformity. That is not what this cross is.
Finding the Keeper
Start with structure. In veg, look for plants that show vigor without stretching excessively. The keepers usually show a clean, organized branching pattern early. By week three of flower, the resin production should be obvious. Bandaid 13 plants that are worth cutting will show heavy trichome coverage by mid-flower, not just at the end. Aroma matters. The best expressions show both the fruity Blueberry notes and a subtle spice or herbal undertone from the Bandaid Haze side. If a plant smells like generic berry, it is not the one. The keeper will have complexity. Finish time varies slightly by phenotype, but expect the range to be tight. Watch for resin maturation, not calendar days.
In The Garden
Bandaid 13 responds well to standard sativa-hybrid protocols. These plants like space and air movement. They will stretch if you let them, so manage height early if you are working with limited vertical space. Resin production is consistent across phenotypes, which means you are not gambling on yield. Expect moderate to heavy resin coverage across the board. Flower time is typical for a sativa-dominant hybrid. No surprises. No extended finishes.
The Experience
The effect profile leans toward the uplifting, creative side of the spectrum, with the Bandaid Haze genetics driving that character. The Blueberry F4 adds a fruity, smooth quality to the smoke and a more grounded, balanced finish compared to pure sativa expressions. This is not a couch-lock strain. It is not a pure head high either. It sits in the middle ground where the effect is clear and functional, with enough body presence to feel complete.
About This Release
These seeds came from my personal vault. Acquired between 2012 and 2020 as breeding stock and genetic preservation, never shelved or sold publicly. Stored correctly the entire time. Upcoming legislation changes what can be legally sold and shipped, and that window is closing. This release is happening now because it has to. Once these are gone, they stay gone. No restock. No new run. If you are serious about Second Generation Genetics' early catalog and the Bandaid Haze lineage, this is the moment.
