The Cross
Coastal Seed Co inbred Burmese Kush on Burmese Kush. Kagyu chased sedating relaxation and euphoric calm. Standout terpenes too. He began with Burmese landrace in 2011. Stabilized compact resilient plants. Buy Burmese IBL seeds if you want that preserved line. Breeder got compact structure and resin. Effects lean indica but some sativa stretch in reports. Holds genetic weight in crosses like Swazi Burmese.
What Each Parent Brings
Both parents pure Burmese Kush. One side gives earthy spicy kush aroma. Dense resin-coated buds. The other locks in Myrcene for sedation, Caryophyllene for spice, Limonene for lift. THC 18-22 percent across the board. Flower time 56-70 days. Indica frame dominates. Resilient to stress, short nodes.
Burmese Kush Male Line
Contributes structure. Compact height, tight internodes. Pushes resin production. Earthy base terps.
Burmese Kush Female Line
Delivers bud density. Spicy kush finish. Sedative punch with calm euphoria. Some limonene pop.
The Phenotypes
Mostly indica frames. Eight to nine weeks finish. Some stretch early, sativa-like effects reported. Terpenes inconsistent in repro packs. Keepers show uniform spicy earth. Cut the weak resin or off-smelling ones. Variation low overall. No purple unless stressed cold.
- Compact indica: 70 percent of packs. Dense nugs, heavy yield.
- Stretchy phenotype: 20 percent. Taller, looser buds. Effects more uplifting.
- Lemon twist: 10 percent. Limonene forward. Rarer.
Finding the Keeper
Vegetative stage: look for short nodes, vigorous roots. No hermaphrodite flags. Early aroma spicy earth. Flower week three: resin beads up. Buds stack tight. Aroma builds kushy. Harvest: 25-28 percent amber trichs for sedation. Test terps if you can. Myrcene over 0.5 percent marks winners. Structure holds weight without support.
Vegetative Traits
Bushy side branching. Resists mold. Fast rooter.
Flower Traits
Resin frost by week five. No foxtail unless hot.
In the Garden
Run indoors or greenhouse. 56 days minimum, push to 70 for resin. Yields solid on 12/12 from clone. Nutrients low nitrogen late flower. Resilient to heat up to 85 degrees. Bugs ignore the terps mostly. Prune lower fans week two flower.
The Experience
Smokes heavy body stone. Euphoria hits first hour. Couch lock after two. Terps carry spicy earth on exhale. Lasts three hours. Some report head high lingering. Pairs with food, not crowds.
