Why This Cross Exists
Apparition x Aliendog came out of Obsoul33t Genetics' West Coast operation during a period when the breeder was deliberately mining the Alien lineage for something most people were sleeping on. The goal was straightforward: take the structural discipline and resin production of Apparition and cross it into Aliendog to lock down phenotype stability while preserving the sedative depth and flavor complexity the Alien line is known for. Did they get there. Yes. The result is an indica-dominant hybrid that doesn't chase trends and doesn't apologize for what it is.
What Each Parent Brings
Apparition contributes robust branching architecture, predictable internodal spacing, and a resin profile that leans toward heavy trichome coverage without the foxtailing that derails some Apparition phenos. It's a structural anchor. Aliendog brings the genetic wildcard: sedative depth, citrus-berry aromatics that don't fade into the background, and the kind of body effect that makes the high feel earned rather than rushed. The cross locks both traits into a single plant type.
Phenotype Variation
Expect two to three distinct expressions across a pack. The dominant pheno runs 65 to 70 days, stacks tight, and finishes with amber-heavy trichomes and a resin layer thick enough to notice. Secondary phenos stretch slightly more, finish in the 63 to 68 day window, and express more of the Aliendog citrus character in the cure. All of them run indica-dominant structure. All of them produce in the 15 to 23 percent THC range. Phenotype variation is real but not chaotic.
Finding the Keeper
At week two of flower, look for plants that show tight nodal spacing and side branching that doesn't require heavy defoliation. By week four, the keepers will have developed a distinct resin sheen and a smell profile that reads as citrus-forward with a subtle berry undertone. By week six, the trichomes should be cloudy with amber beginning to show. The plant that finishes with the most resin coverage and the cleanest structure is your cut. Don't chase the tallest plant in the room.
In The Garden
Apparition x Aliendog responds well to standard indica protocols. It doesn't demand special feeding or environmental manipulation. Moderate nitrogen through veg, standard phosphorus and potassium in flower, and you'll get a predictable result. Stretch is minimal. Yield is solid without being exceptional. This is a strain that rewards consistency, not experimentation.
The Experience
The high arrives fast and settles into a deep body effect that doesn't cloud the mind. Citrus and berry notes come through on the inhale. The exhale is smoother than the genetics suggest. The effect is the kind of sedation that makes you want to sit down, not the kind that makes you pass out. It's a nighttime strain for people who want to remain present.
About This Release
These seeds were acquired between 2012 and 2020 and held in James Bean's personal vault as breeding stock and genetic preservation. They were never shelved, never sold publicly, never offered through retail channels. Upcoming legislation changes what can be legally sold and shipped. This release is happening now because the window is closing. Once these seeds are gone, they are gone. There is no restock. There is no new run. If you're a serious grower or a collector, this is the only opportunity you'll have to work with this cross.
