A gelato cookie nose with candy fruit underneath, that's what you're chasing in these Zelato F2 seeds, built off Zelato #17 crossed with Zelato #38. This is Green Fire Genetics going back into their own Zelato line and pulling two selections together for a second-generation cross, which means real segregation and real hunting. What you get is a pack built for growers who want to find their own cut, not a locked-in clone recreation.
Zelato #17 and Zelato #38 are both selections out of the same Zelato line, so this F2 carries that gelato cookie and candy fruit character throughout, backed by caryophyllene, limonene, and linalool. Expect the effects to run uplifting and creative up front, settling into relaxed and euphoric, which tracks with the terpene profile stacking a spicy backbone against citrus and floral notes.
F2 generations open the gene pool back up, so expect more spread in structure and finish window than you'd see in an F1. Look for plants that lean hard into the gelato cookie side of the nose versus ones that push more candy fruit forward, and track your phenos closely since #17 and #38 won't throw identical offspring. The keepers here are the ones that combine tight resin production with a fast finish, since this pack is built for pheno hunting and hash selection work.
Finish runs 60 to 70 days, yield comes in medium, and difficulty sits at moderate, mostly because F2 regs need labeling, tracking, and sexing as you go. THC runs 20% to 26% with CBD under 1%, so this is a straightforward high-THC hybrid pack once you've sorted the keepers from the rest.
Worth knowing: if you don't have room to grow out a full pack of regs and track each plant individually, skip this one, since F2 variation means the payoff comes from selection work, not from popping a few seeds and hoping for uniformity.
The window: I've spent 16 years building direct relationships with breeders like Green Fire Genetics, and packs like this Zelato F2 are part of what that work was for. Come November 2026, Section 781 shuts down interstate seed sales for good, and when that happens, Seeds Here Now stops selling seeds entirely. There's no restock coming after that, so what's on the shelf now is what's left of a line I've watched develop for years. If you want to run your own Zelato hunt, get this pack now and lock the genetics in before the window closes.
