Velato should do well indoors or in a dry, sheltered outdoor spot; expect Gelato-like stretch and a fairly dense finish, so top early and use support plus strong airflow. Keep humidity lower in late flower to avoid mold.

A creamy, grape-forward hybrid with a fairly dense finish, that's what you get from this Gelato 33 x VS1 cross. Aficionado Seeds put a hunt-worthy pack together here, one built for growers who want to dig through Gelato-cream phenotypes looking for a keeper. Velato seeds come 10 to a pack, regular, no feminized shortcuts.
Gelato 33 brings the dessert side, that caramel and gelato ice cream sweetness that shows up in the finished flower. VS1 rounds it out with the ripe grape, lavender, and earthy undertones running underneath. Together they land on caryophyllene, limonene, and linalool, which tracks with the relaxing, body-calming, yet creative and uplifting effects reported.
Expect a spread here since these are regulars off a Gelato 33 x VS1 cross. Look for the Gelato-cream leaning phenos with that dense, dessert-heavy nose, and watch for the grape and lavender leaning side to show up too. The keepers will show a fairly dense structure with that stretch Gelato genetics are known for, and strong terpene expression on either side of the split.
Flower time runs 7 to 8 weeks, and yield is rated high. Difficulty is moderate, this one stretches like Gelato does and finishes dense, so top early, stake it, and keep airflow strong. Late flower calls for lower humidity to keep that dense bud structure from holding moisture.
Worth knowing: skip this pack if you don't want to sex and sort regular seeds, this cross needs selection work between the Gelato-cream and grape-forward phenos to find your keeper.
The window: Sixteen years I've spent building direct relationships with breeders like Aficionado, tracking down crosses like this one before they disappear. Federal law under Section 781 shuts down interstate cannabis seed sales come November 2026, and when that happens Seeds Here Now stops selling seeds entirely. Packs like Velato won't restock after that, this is the last run of what I've collected. If you want these genetics in your hunt or your breeding room, grab the pack now, don't wait on this one.
