The Cross
Compound Genetics aimed to merge Apples & Bananas fruity punch with Jokerz #31 candy gas. Goal was indica-dominant plants with bag appeal: purple buds, orange hairs, trichome frost. They nailed the resin and visuals. Terpene stack adds complexity from GSC, Gelato, Runtz lines. Buy Goofiez seeds if you want that profile. No extreme yields, but consistent potency.
What Each Parent Brings
Jokerz #31 delivers kush-fuel base, dense structure, euphoric high. Contributes purple potential, trichome density, 8-week finish. Apples & Bananas adds tropical fruit, banana cream, vigorous veg. Brings floral sweet notes, orange pistils, medium stretch. Cross locks in 27-30% THC across most plants.
Jokerz Contributions
- Dense indica nodes
- Candy gas terps
- Purple fade
Apples & Bananas Contributions
- Fruity explosion
- Resin production
- Fast flower
The Phenotypes
Expect variation. Tropical fruit dominates 40 percent: pineapple, banana, citrus. Kush-fuel in 30 percent, sweet cream floral in 20 percent. Rare gas-heavy outliers. Keep fruit-gas hybrids for breeding. Cut weak structure or low resin early. Most finish 60-65 days. No confirmed yields over medium, despite hype.
Finding the Keeper
Vegetative: Look for vigorous branching, medium height. No lanky stretchers. Early flower: Tight calyxes, orange pistils by week three. Resin buildup week four. Aroma shift: Fruit then fuel. Harvest: 28% THC testers purple fully, trichs milky. Structure holds weight without support. Smell test: Complex terps beat one-note.
Stage-by-Stage Markers
- Veg: Bushy, 2-3 foot final height
- Early flower: Node stack
- Mid flower: Frost coverage
- Harvest: Purple 80% cola
In the Garden
Run these indoors or greenhouse. Veg 4-5 weeks, flip to 60-65 day flower. Medium feeder, watch nitrogen in stretch. Yields 400-500 grams per square meter under LEDs. Prune lower fans for airflow. Stable, but hunt phenotypes. Funny thing: These look pro-shelf but smoke like grandma's secret stash. Solid performers.
The Experience
Hits euphoric first, then couch lock. Fruity inhale, gassy exhale. Lasts two hours. Potent for extracts. No race or paranoia reported.
