Pink Passion Genetics and History
Pink Passion pairs Passion Fruit, a tangy tropical sativa, with Pink Kush, the resin-heavy Canadian indica classic. Passion Fruit brings the juicy top notes; Pink Kush brings resin and a sweet, floral base.
The result reads as a tropical candy strain with a floral finish. Leafly’s Pink Kush profile covers that parent.
Pink Passion Aroma and Appearance
The Pink Passion strain smells sweet and tangy: candy, passion fruit and tropical notes over a floral, slightly vanilla base from Pink Kush.
Buds are dense and well frosted, with pink-tinged pistils that suit the name. Read more about terpenes.

Collecting Pink Passion
Look for a named breeder, a clear lineage and sealed original packaging when you find a Pink Passion pack. Popular names attract imitations, so buy from accountable sources. Browse our feminized, regular and autoflower seeds for related lines.
The Passion Fruit Parent
The Passion Fruit side of the Pink Passion strain is a tangy, tropical sativa-leaning line, valued for juicy top notes that really do remind people of passion fruit and pink grapefruit. In the cross, it is credited with the bright, sweet-and-sour tropical side of the aroma.
Tropical fruit lines are popular with collectors because their aroma is so distinct from the earthy and gassy strains that dominated older catalogs. Our Beach Babe strain review covers another tropical hybrid.
The Pink Kush Parent
Pink Kush is a Canadian classic, widely associated with Vancouver and usually described as an OG Kush descendant. It is known for heavy resin, a sweet floral aroma with a hint of vanilla, and pink-tinged hairs that gave it its name.
In the Pink Passion strain, Pink Kush is credited with the floral, creamy base and with much of the frost. Leafly’s Pink Kush profile, linked above and in our sources, covers the parent in more detail.
Because Pink Kush comes from the OG Kush family, the Pink Passion strain quietly links a modern tropical line back to one of the most important families in West Coast cannabis history.
How the Pink Passion Aroma Comes Together
Collectors describe the Pink Passion strain in layers:
- Top notes: ripe passion fruit and pink grapefruit.
- Middle: floral candy and citrus peel.
- Finish: a creamy Kush undertone with a faint diesel edge.
Reported terpenes often lean on limonene and linalool, with some myrcene. We describe terpenes for aroma only and make no claims about effects.
What Pink Passion Looks Like
Photos of the Pink Passion strain usually show dense, well-frosted buds in bright green, with pink-tinged pistils that suit the name. Some samples show light purple tones near the tips.
The heavy frost is usually credited to the Pink Kush side of the family, which is famous for resin. Read more about cannabis trichomes, where the aroma compounds are stored.
The Pink Family of Strains
Pink is a popular word in strain names, and it does not always mean the same thing. Pink Passion takes its name from Pink Kush and its pink-tinged pistils. Pink Runtz comes from the Runtz family. Pink Rozay is its own line again.
| Strain | Where the pink comes from | Aroma |
|---|---|---|
| Pink Passion | Pink Kush parent | Tropical candy, floral |
| Pink Runtz | Runtz family | Candy, berry |
| Pink Rozay Auto | Its own autoflower line | Floral, fruity |
Read each lineage rather than assuming every Pink strain is related.
Collecting Pink Passion Seeds
Pink Passion seeds make a good bridge in a tropical-themed collection, linking fruit-forward sativa lines with the Kush family. Pair them with Pink Runtz and Beach Babe for an aroma comparison.
Check that the pack names a breeder and lists Passion Fruit x Pink Kush, buy sealed original packaging, and store it cool, dark and dry, away from children and pets.
