Why This Cross Exists
Cinderella 99 is a proven line. Jack Herer and Shiva Skunk genetics that actually deliver on what the names promise. Fast flower, compact structure, clean uplifting effects. Dominion Seed Company took that foundation and did what serious breeders do with proven work: they stabilized it through self-pollination. C99 x C99 S1 is the result. The goal was straightforward. Lock in the sativa-dominant expression, the speed, the plant structure that makes C99 worth growing in the first place.
What Each Parent Brings
This is where S1 breeding gets honest. You are crossing C99 with itself. That means every trait that made the original valuable gets concentrated. The sativa-dominant architecture stays intact. The fast-flowering phenotype gets reinforced. The cerebral, uplifting effect profile carries through because it is baked into the genetics, not a one-off expression.
Jack Herer contributes the sativa backbone and the clean, energetic high. Shiva Skunk brings structure, resin production, and the ability to finish fast without sacrificing potency. In an S1, both of these contributions get amplified through self-pollination. You are not diluting the line. You are concentrating it.
Phenotype Variation and What to Expect
S1 seeds carry a known risk. Self-pollination can express recessive traits, including hermaphroditic tendencies in some phenotypes. This is not a defect in Dominion's work. It is the nature of the breeding method. You will likely see variation in plant structure, resin expression, and flowering speed across a pack. Some plants will be textbook C99. Others will show different expressions of the same genetics.
That variation is actually useful information. It tells you the line is genetically diverse enough to work with. You run a pack, you find your keepers, you understand what stability looks like in this cross.
Finding the Keeper
Start with structure. True C99 x C99 S1 plants show compact, branching growth with tight internodes. Watch for that in the first three weeks. Resin production should be visible by week four of flower. Look for plants that throw resin early and consistently. Aroma develops fast in this line. Citrus, floral, and slight spice notes are typical. If a plant smells generic or thin by mid-flower, it is probably not your keeper.
Growth pattern matters. C99 x C99 S1 should finish fast. Seventy to eighty days is the expected range. Anything significantly longer suggests a different phenotype expression. Not bad. Just different. Cut it if it fits your garden. Keep it if you want to explore the variation.
In The Garden
This line does not demand special treatment. It responds to clean feeding, proper light, and stable conditions like any other sativa-dominant hybrid. Expect moderate to heavy yields if you dial in the environment. The plants stay reasonably compact, which is the whole point of C99 genetics. Stretch is minimal. Branching is predictable. No surprises.
The Experience
C99 x C99 S1 delivers what the genetics promise. Uplifting, cerebral, clean. No couch lock. No fog. The high comes on fast and stays functional. Resin production is solid, so concentrate quality should be good if that is your end goal. Flavor carries through the smoke or vapor. Citrus and floral notes are present if you grew it right.
About This Release
These seeds are from my personal vault. Acquired between 2012 and 2020. Stored correctly. Never shelved or sold publicly. Set aside as breeding stock and genetic preservation, not retail inventory. Legislation is changing what can be legally sold and shipped. This release is happening now because it has to. Once these are gone, they are gone. No restock. No new run. No secondary source. If you want to work with this line, this is when you get it.
